Dec 08 Happenings!

Wow! What a month this has been!! Riley cooked alot! Britt, Zach, & lil Brooklyn came to visit, my dad is here visiting from Arizona, Ri and I made chrsitmas sugar cookies together and John has the last 2 weeks of Dec off of work! pam and Jack visited us and brought presents and man did they spoil grandma!! :0) Oh yea -- and did I mention that I have NO school for 8 months!!!!! YAHHOOOOO!!!!!! Here are a few pics from Dec....

UPDATE!

As many of you know I started a "fitness Challenge" for my senior project in school. The theme for the project had to be CARING and so I had decided that the best way I could care about my patients was to get healthy! So the last 6-7 weeks have been great, hard, emotional, and alot of sweat!! BUT! Here are the stats: I lost 10#, and many inches! 3 off each thigh, 1/2 off upper arms, 1/2 on chest, 1 off hips. I am excted for the progress and hope to loose even more in the next month or so!! I will keep you all posted!! Thanks for all the encouragement!!:0)

Oct 22, 1993 we welcomed Riley Page Hoffman into our lives and hearts! He was quite a handful the first year but has made our family complete! Riley is amazing, kind, smart as heck, a cutie, and a lil too cocky for his own good! :0) I am so grateful and feel very very blessed to have him as my youngest child! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RI! WE LOVE YOU!

HELP!!! SYMPATHY!! MAYBE A CHEER!!

FOR MY SENIOR PROJECT WHOSE SUBJECT IS CARING AS IT RELATES TO NURSING. sO AFTER THINKIN ABOUT IT I DECIDED THAT THE BEST WAY TO TRULY CARE FOR MY PT IS TO GET INTO SHAPE SO THAT I CAN TRULY CARE FOR THEM, i CAN NOT ADVOCATE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IF I AM NOT LIVING IT!

So to make this long story shorter. I saw Brigham fitness challenge in the paper and I went to the class signed up and we have meeting 1 x weekly. Theres also boot camp that the trainer stays with you and shows you how to do each exercise. Plus she does a nutirion

Curtains!

This may sound like a dumb post but I had to share my FIRST curtains! Heres the story of how we got them... We had those kinda ugly vertical blinds in the kitchen on the sliding glass door. Well since we moved in the blinds if opened just right (or we should say wrong) they would fall down! Well the final straw was when they almost fell on grandma Lila! We did not want to get blinds again so John and I went shopping and got curtains! I have not had curtains since we lived in the mobile home! It is kinda fun for a change! :0)

RILEY CAME AND ASKED US IF HE COULD SIGN UP FOR DRIVERS ED. WE SAID SURE WHEN YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH.... RILEY THEN SAID I AM!!! I SAT THERE SPEECHLESS... (IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT). HOW DID THIS HAPPEN????

OK MAYBE YOU BLOGGER PRO'S (OR MAYBE IT IS MY PIC PROGRAM) I WENT IN AND ROTATED THE PIC IN MY PIC FOLDER AND IT SHOWS IT RIGHT SIDE UP BUT THEN WHEN IT GOES ONTO BLOGGER IT IS SIDE WAYS!! I AS YOU CAN SEE TRIED 2 X'S aaahhhh.... WHAT AM I DOING WRONG HERE? IS THERE A BLOGGER 101 CLASS? ;0)

school has started AGAIN-

THIS START OF SCHOOL WAS DEFINATELY BITTERSWEET FOR ME! I ALMOST CRIED WHEN I REGISTERED ALEX FOR HIS "LAST" YEAR OF HIGHSCHOOL!! THEN I PICKED UP HIS SENIOR PICTURES!! I HAVE REALLY BEEN REFLECTING ON HIS LIFE AND ALL THE AMAZING ADVENTURES WE HAVE HAD WITH ALEX. REGISTERING RILEY WAS NOT NEAR AS TRAMATIC BUT I STILL REALIZE THAT THIS IS GOING TOO FAST! HE WILL GRADUATING BEFORE I KNOW IT! I ALSO STARTED MY LASTER SEMESTER OF THE BSN PROGRAM AND WILL GRADUATE IN DECEMBER! YIPEE!

MOM COMES TO UTAH!

WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO FLY MY MOM OUT HERE FOR A VISIT & TO SEE OUR HOUSE AND JUST HANG OUT WITH US FOR A FEW DAYS.... IT WAS A GREAT ADVENTURE AND WE ARE SO GLAD SHE CAME TO UTAH TO VISIT! WE HAD A BBQ WHICH WAS VERY WELL ATTENDED SO MOM GOT TO SEE SOME OF MY FRIENDS THAT SHE HASN'T SEEN IN YRS. WE WENT SHOPPING (OF COURSE)TOO. MOM LOVED OUR NEW HOUSE AND SHE WAS SO EXCITED TO MEET GIZZY! SHE HAS A WAY WITH ANIMALS ESPECIALLY CATS!SHE HAD ALEX'S CAT AND GRANDMA LILA'S CAT EATIN OUT OF THE PALM OF HER HAND BY THE TIME SHE LEFT TO GO HOME! WE ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO THE OGDEN RIVER RUNWAY AREA BY RAINBOW GARDENS WHERE WE HELD MY BROTHER STEVES MEMORIAL. IT WAS SAD BUT IT WAS GOOD TO BE ABLE TO SHARE THAT WITH MY MOM. SO TAKE A LOOK AT THE VIDEO BELOW!
